| This 8 year old girl had a complete absence of her Tibia.
The fibula was high riding and the knee was having a flexion deformity of more than 90
degrees. The shortening in the leg was more than 20 cms.

fibula was gradually brought under the femur and straightened out and was brought on top
of the ankle.Lengthening was performed in the femur as well as in the fibula and also in
the gap of the knee joint.

| At the end of 8 months of
treatment the limb was straight and the knee was fused with an achievement of more than 16
cms of length in the first stage of treatment.
